Cookies and Flowers and Starbucks Alert!

Lest you think that me and mine are the only crew out there pursuing the addition of an older child from a far away place, I'd like to introduce you to three of our friends and their families.  Each one is in the same process. Each one has a unique story that will inspire you should you take a moment to read about them.  Millions are spent on fiction that tell stories far inferior!  Check them out and see - dare you!  While you are at it, they have the same challenges that we do as far as incredibly expensive requirements to legally remove their children from government care to loving homes.  Who doesn't like flowers, cookies, and starbucks?  Maybe you can be a part of their stories, while savoring one of these treats yourself!  (Below these are a few other notes, so keep reading....)

The Callen Family is heading to Latvia for their FINAL trip in adopting Lilija!  Flowers anyone?

The Butler Family is heading to Latvia for their 2nd trip in adopting Grace!  Cookies by the famous Julia H. OR several other goodies to win???

The Freeman Family is heading to Latvia for their 1st trip (finally!) to adopt Rita and Lera!  Starbucks card up for grabs :)

You know, it is easy to focus on our own adoption expenses, but I think that misses out on so much for all involved.  When we put others' needs first, when we look to help others, somehow the beauty and love and joy of adoption gets multiplied exponentially.  Can't really explain it.  I am just as excited when one of our friends' needs is met as one of our own!  Seriously.  Two of these families I've only met in cyberspace, but our hearts are tied together in ways that only God can orchestrate.

For those who have hung in with me thus far, I have to add one more itty bitty note.  Fundraising can be wonderful and fun.  But it is work!  We have been given so much through folks organizing and participating in those held for Vitaly.  However, please consider whether you might just plain old give.  Nothing in return.  No expectations from the family.  I can verify that they are exhausted from the emotions and paperwork and meeting more requirements than you can imagine.  To have someone just offer to help without anything in return?  Wow!  It happens!  Every donation and purchase and raffle ticket is appreciated, don't get me wrong!  But, those which are anonymous or come from those unknown to the family or who just want to be a part of the miracle?  Those are like receiving a gift within a gift.

Thought I was done, but not quite...
you see there are also families who would host (maybe eventually adopt) these kids but they need some help too.  To add to their funding to come for the summer, just click on the link, give with a note that includes the child's letter/number/name info, and be a part of the next families' stories!

If you look back a few days, you will see that Marian, Borys, and Roman are all coming for the summer!  Three families found, how about 5 more for these kiddos?  Pray, give, host?
The following kids (and others) have just a few days to be chosen for summer:

L45 $900 Scholarship Juri

 L64 $800 Scholarship Alina

L10 Demantis and Dariuss are twins with no scholarship money yet :(

L66 Anastasija, Aleksandra Twins "Nastya" and "Sasha"  have no scholarship help yet :(
U92 $500 Scholarship Viktor

I don't ask others to do what I won't.  So, as soon as I post this, we will contribute to one of the above.  Who will join in the miracles?

Watch and see friends :)
Sue
